Mexican giant cardon cactus
In the world of cacti, they dont get any bigger than the cardon. Also called elephant cactus, this species can grow upwards of 60 toes and weigh in at 25 lots, with squat trunks and lots of branches. Despite the cardons big length, its quite touchy to frost, a trait which limits its variety. The cardon normally grows within the Baja Peninsula, where its night-blooming plants attract species like the lesser long-nosed bat.
