Stari Most in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
To rejoice Independence Day in Bosnia and Herzogovina were in Mostar, a town on the banks of the Neretva River. This bridge that joins the two sides of the city is known as Stari Most, or Old Bridge. The authentic stone bridge was built in the sixteenth century but destroyed in 1993 for the duration of the Bosnian War. Reconstruction began in 2001, the use of local substances or even some stones from the unique bridge. The new Old Bridge was completed in 2004.
